For each student course, I am developing a low-cost, self-paced teacher’s guide to help:

Each of my online courses involves a series of short presentations followed by activities for you to apply the free resources with your students.
I visited Bristol, CT to facilitate a well-attended workshop with a wonderful group of adult educators on Teaching Adults: Exciting Strategies and Technology for GED Test Preparation. CAACE provides “leadership in advancing the concept of lifelong learning, and to conduct, promote, and sponsor professional development conferences and activities.”
“Your ability to sequence a presentation is exceptional, and you did a wonderful job of keeping the group on task throughout the day. I am very impressed with your way of working with the questions from the group. Everyone received a focused, on-target answer. I wish you the best with your classes in Cleveland, and thank you for your willingness to share your instructional setting. Spending the day with you was a most special pleasure.” -Dan Chao, CREC/ATDN Trainer
Northeast Ohio Literacy Corps
For three years, this AmeriCorps program placed members at non-profit organizations in Cuyahoga County to provide literacy services. I coordinated the training calendar, including facilitating trainings on education, volunteer coordination, community resources, and group development. Her project-based approach encouraged members to reflect on their service, develop leadership and self-management skills, and make a lasting contribution at their host sites. View the presentations from NEOLC’s 2010 monthly trainings at Scribd.
